Job Responsibilities:

The Project Architect role will be responsible for technical project team leadership and client interaction on complex and high profile projects of varying size from Schematics through construction administration.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience with Type V and Type III Multifamily & Residential Mixed-Use building types. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be an excellent internal and external communicator both verbally and graphically, able to effectively oversee project team milestone deliverables, while maintaining alignment with agreed contractual and financial project performance objectives.  The Project Architect role demands a talented professional committed to our guiding principles of Advancing the World, Critical Thinking, Integrated Practice and Design Excellence to function at both strategic thought and hands-on leadership levels, exercising familiarity with the use of Revit.


Typical Duties

  • Oversee building system concepts and documentation process from schematics through construction administration phases within the discipline.

  • Function as discipline team leader on large, complex projects when assigned.

  • Oversee of project team members within the discipline.

  • Prepare and monitor project status reports.

  • Prepare and document required code research for project.

  • Conduct material and product research as required for project development.

  • Attend project meetings as necessary.

  • Interface with other discipline team leaders including coordination of resources across offices may be necessary.

  • Document interpretation and submittal reviews during bidding and construction administration.

  • Monitor staff to produce quality architectural and engineering services within a project team concept.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and licensure highly recommended.

  • LEED Accredited preferred.

  • Minimum ten years' experience in A/E industry preferred.

  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of professional services from schematic design through project close-out, including design and technical expertise.

  • A comprehensive understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplines.

  • Sophisticated knowledge of building codes, accessibility and construction practices.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to motivate and mentor staff, delegate work assignments and work well with others under deadline situations.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.

  • Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible.

  • Capable of doing own production work on small projects
